Grown in the verdant mountains of Alta Verapaz, these exceptional Criollo & Fino de Aroma beans take root around Lake Lachuá, the hills of Cahabón and near the famous Semuc Champey waterfalls.
They are the result of agroecological projects carried out by more than 300 Q'eqchi' Maya families, committed to preserving their ecosystems, passing on ancestral know-how and developing unique terroirs.
We have the honor of hand-processing these beans from two complementary terroirs in Alta Verapaz:
🔸 Lachuá : a refined cocoa with notes of citrus, red fruit and coffee, grown around a preserved RAMSAR-listed lake.
🔸 Gentle, controlled roasting at low temperature to preserve all the aromatic complexity
FROM THE BEAN TO THE SENSORY EXPERIENCE
The beans are then slowly ground on stone millstones and shaped into 60 g tablets tablets and 240 g ritual moldsritual molds, perfect for tasting or ceremonies.
They are also available in 100% brokenin bulk, for a more raw experience, to be incorporated into your rituals or gourmet creations.
